DAY 1 - 10 MAY 2027 - KOBE

Kobe offers a captivating introduction to modern Japan with a timeless sense of refinement.

Begin with a visit to Japan’s largest herb garden, where colourful seasonal blooms, fragrant landscapes and panoramic views across the city offer a tranquil welcome to Kobe.

This evening, we celebrate the beginning of the journey with a welcome dinner in walking distance of the hotel.

DAY 2 - 11 MAY 2027- GOLF AT ARIMA ROYAL GOLF CLUB

Begin your golfing journey in Kobe at Arima Royal Golf Club, one of the region’s most prestigious private members' clubs. Immerse yourself in the unique traditions and etiquette that make golf in Japan so memorable, from arrival through to lunch at the turn and a relaxing Japanese-style spa experience after your round.

In the evening, unwind at your own pace with a selection of curated dining recommendations within walking distance, or join your hosts for dinner and enjoy a relaxed evening sharing stories from the day.

DAY 3 - 12 MAY 2027 - GOLF AT YOMIURI COUNTRY CLUB, MEMBERS COURSE

After breakfast, you’ll transfer approximately 50 minutes to Yomiuri Country Club, where you’ll have the rare privilege of playing by special member invitation.

Enjoy an evening at leisure or join your hosts for dinner and enjoy a relaxed evening in good company, reflecting on the day’s highlights.

DAY 4 - 13 MAY 2027 - GOLF AT GOLDEN VALLEY GOLF CLUB

Golden Valley Golf Club is a prestigious private members’ club and one of Japan’s most challenging championship courses. We are privileged to have access to this exceptional golfing experience.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. to harmonise with its natural surroundings, the course features beautifully contoured fairways, strategic bunkering, elevation changes and natural water features. Its demanding layout rewards precision, thoughtful course management and a well-considered approach to every shot, providing a memorable challenge for even the most accomplished golfers. It remains one of our favourite courses to play in Japan.

This evening enjoy a wagyu yakiniku dinner before returning to Kobe.

AT GOLDEN VALLEY GOLF CLUB

DAY 5 - 14 MAY 2027 - FULL DAY KYOTO TOUR

Wander through Kyoto and step back in time, where ancient temples, shrines, and palaces offer glimpses into centuries of history. Visit the Golden Pavilion at Kinkaku-ji, stroll through the iconic vermilion torii gates of Fushimi Inari, and explore the serene bamboo groves of Arashiyama, a perfect introduction to Kyoto’s timeless charm.

Return to Kobe in the evening.

Enjoy dinner at one of the hotel’s many dining options, including Japanese, Chinese, or Western cuisine. You are also welcome to join your hosts for a relaxed evening meal.

DAY 6 - 15 MAY 2027 - AWAJI ISLAND • NARUTO & JAPANESE HOSPITALITY

We check out of The Orient and begin the next leg of our journey, heading to Awaji Island to experience the spectacular Naruto Whirlpools up close.

Choose between two very different and unforgettable overnight stays:

ZENBO SEINEI - surrounded by the lush greenery of Awaji Island, this striking retreat offers a chance to slow down and reconnect through mindfulness, nature and traditional Japanese practices. A peaceful invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life and simply be present.

DAY 7 - 16 MAY 2027 - SHINKANSEN | HAKONE SIGHTSEEING | GOTEMBA

Travel by Shinkansen from Shin-Kobe to Mishima, then explore Hakone with a cruise on Lake Ashi aboard its iconic pirate ship and a ride on the Hakone Ropeway, enjoying spectacular views of Owakudani and, weather permitting, Mt Fuji.

Continue to Gotemba and check in at Mars GardenWood Gotemba, a relaxing resort with tranquil gardens, natural hot spring baths and views of Mt Fuji. Unwind in the onsen before dinner at the hotel or exploring the nearby restaurants at Gotemba Premium Outlets.

DAY 8 - 17 MAY 2027 - GOLF AT GRAND FIELDS COUNTRY CLUB

Grand Fields is a tournament-style course set among beautifully landscaped Japanese gardens. Immaculate fairways, tranquil water features and exceptional conditioning make every hole a pleasure to play, with spectacular views of Mt Fuji on a clear day. During your round, enjoy a stop at the charming course kiosk for freshly prepared matcha and traditional Japanese snacks.

A new addition to the On The Tee portfolio, access to Grand Fields has been specially arranged by invitation, making this a particularly exclusive golfing experience.

DAY 9 - 18 MAY 2027 - GOLF AT SUSONO CC

Susono Country Club is a beautifully presented championship course with spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. The spacious layout winds through mature trees, with water hazards, creeks and strategically placed bunkers adding both character and challenge.

A prestigious private members’ club, we are delighted to share this exclusive golfing experience with our travellers.

DAY 10 - 19 MAY 2027 - GOLF AT TAIHEIYO CLUB GOTEMBA WEST

En-route to Tokyo we play our sixth and final round of golf at Taiheiyo Club Gotemba West. Set on the lower slopes of Mt. Fuji, Gotemba West makes the most of its beautiful natural surroundings. Mature cedar and cypress trees frame the fairways, while water hazards and dramatic changes in elevation add an extra challenge. The evergreen fairways and highly playable layout make for an enjoyable round. This is our only caddie-free round.

After golf we head to Tokyo, where we check-in to the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa.

Set in the heart of Tokyo, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by a beautiful 20,000m² Japanese garden. Just minutes from Shinagawa Station, the hotel combines the convenience of the city with a distinctly Japanese sense of calm.

DAY 11 - 20 MAY 2027 - ASAKUSA WALKING TOUR AND TEA CEREMONY

Experience the vibrant heart of Tokyo, beginning in Asakusa, where the historic Sensoji Temple and bustling Nakamise Street offer a glimpse into traditional Japan with charming shops, street food, and cultural landmarks. Then step into the world of traditional Japan with an intimate tea ceremony. Learn about the rituals and quiet artistry behind matcha, from its careful preparation to the graceful customs of serving and drinking it.

Celebrate the winners and toast new friends made on our Golf and the Spirit of Japan Tour.

SENSOJI TEMPLE

DAY 12 - 21 MAY 2027 DAY AT LEISURE IN TOKYO

Enjoy a leisurely final day in Tokyo, with time to explore the city at your own pace. We’ll provide a curated selection of optional tours and experiences, with all bookings arranged on your behalf.

A late check-out is included, giving you time to enjoy your chosen activities before returning to the hotel to relax and freshen up. In the evening, we transfer to Haneda Airport for our 10:45 pm flight to Sydney.
