Option 3 - Travel to Mossel Bay to play Pinnacle Point: Depart after breakfast for a round of golf at this spectacular course, with the option to visit the Point of Human Origins Cave.

Before golf you have the option to visit the Point of Human Origin Caves nestled somewhat incongruously beneath the Pinnacle Point clifftop. A series of wooden steps and walkways take you into some of the caves below the clifftop where you get a practical glimpse into our own origins.

Pinnacle Point is one of a rare group of golf courses in the world built on high cliffs overlooking the ocean. It’s a spectacular experience and ranks with the likes of Pebble Beach in California, Old Head in Ireland, Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand and Playa Grande in the Dominican Republic. It has twice been named Africa’s Best Golf Course and South Africa’s Best Golf Course, in 2022 and 2020, at the World Golf Awards. Several of the holes at Pinnacle Point are amazing in terms of wow factor, and even when you’re playing inland you still enjoy wonderful views of the Indian Ocean. Risk-reward holes are a feature of Pinnacle Point.

Those continuing on with Chapter Two fly to Sabi Sands for an extraordinary safari adventure at Notten’s Bush Camp. Sabi Sands Game Reserve is a prestigious private reserve, adjoining Kruger National Park with no fencing between them, allowing wildlife to move freely. It is renowned for outstanding Big Five sightings, especially leopards, and for its exclusive, low-density safari experience. A key difference from Kruger National Park is that in Sabi Sands, guided safari vehicles may go off-road, allowing closer wildlife encounters and better viewing, whereas in Kruger, vehicles must stay on designated roads at all times.

Note: There are only two Family Suites available for solo-occupancy travellers, allowing a maximum of four solo guests to enjoy en-suite bathrooms. These suites are allocated on a first-come basis. 19 and 20 November 2026 - Day 2 and 3 of the Safari Life

A typical day at Notten’s Bush Camp follows the gentle rhythm of the African bush, shaped by wildlife and changing light.

Begin before sunrise with coffee on your private deck, then set out on a morning game drive in an open Land Cruiser with an experienced ranger and tracker. Early hours often bring sightings of lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, zebra, and antelope, along with abundant birdlife.

Return for a relaxed breakfast overlooking the wilderness. Late morning is free to lounge by the pool, enjoy the Nature Spa, or watch wildlife wander through the camp.

After a light lunch, choose a guided bush walk with an armed ranger or a late-afternoon game drive as golden light reawakens the bush. Pause for a sundowner at sunset and continue into the night to spot nocturnal creatures such as hyenas, civets, and bushbabies.

End the day with a candlelit dinner under the stars, while the distant calls of lions and hyenas provide a timeless soundtrack as you retire to your suite.

Leopard Creek, one of only three South African courses in the World Top 100, embodies the beauty and grandeur of African bushveld golf while offering an exclusivity comparable to Augusta National.

The course occupies a uniquely spectacular site, bordering the broad Crocodile River on the southern edge of Kruger National Park. Its remote location has captivated television audiences around the globe during the annual Alfred Dunhill Championship on the European Tour, where viewers are as enthralled by the wildlife as by the golf.

After golf, we transfer to Nelspruit Airport and fly to Johannesburg, where we overnight at City Lodge O.R. Tambo. This evening, we celebrate the winners at Leopard Creek and toast the friendships forged during this unforgettable South African adventure over a final dinner.
