Bali October 2016 Highlights
We played world class golf courses and relished in luxury accommodation.
DAY 1
The trip started at Sydney Airport as we boarded Garuda flight GA 715. We settled into Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, before adjourning to the Palace Club lounge for a pre-welcome dinner cocktail.
DAY 2
Our first round of golf was at New Kuta Golf Club, perched on a limestone cliff with fantastic views of Balangan and Dreamland beaches. Those new to golf in Bali were enthused with their individual caddies and surprised as how quickly the caddies adjusted to their style of golf.
Enjoying an Indonesian buffet dinner whilst watching the Kecak dancers perform.
DAY 3
Round 2 of was at the magnificent Bali National Golf Club. The course is immaculately presented, with manicured fairways and not a blade of grass out of place. We experienced "Bunker Grove" and the signature 17th hole with its island green.
DAY 4
We spent the day in Seminyak exploring the hipster bars, cool cafes and chic boutiques before relaxing poolside at the Seminyak Hotel.
DAY 5
Golf at our favourite course, the iconic Nirwana Golf Club. Blessed with a captivating landscape as it sits alongside a dramatic coastline, among manicured gardens and traditional Balinese rice paddies. Designed by Greg Norman, Nirwana boasts five ocean-side holes, three cliff-to-cliff tee shots, and eight holes sculpted into terraced rice fields.
DAY 6
Today, some played golf, some enjoyed a cooking class and others relaxed at the spa.
The afternoon was spent poolside, playing volleyball and and enjoying a cocktail or two.
DAY 7
The scores at the top of the leader board were very close, making the last round at Nirwana an exciting one.
A farewell dinner on the beach at Jimbaran Bay, brought our tour to a close.
