Sunday 4th September
Transfer to the Kandy Victoria Golf and Country Resort by sea plane (Air Taxi), landing on the Victoria Reservoir. Upon arrival, tee off for our first round of golf. Ranked among the 100 most beautiful golf courses in the world, the Victoria Golf and Country Resort was designed in 1997 by Donald Steele & Co. It is a challenging Par 73 Championship course sprawled among the hills. The next three nights are spent at the Resort. Tonight is the Welcome Dinner, where you will have a chance to consolidate friendships.
Monday 5th September
Our second round of golf brings us back to the scene of yesterday's challenge. Also on today's plan is a visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
Tuesday 5th September
The city of Kandy is steeped in history and culture. Activities today include a visit to the Temple of the Tooth, where a sacred tooth relic of Buddha is enshrined, and the Sigiriya rock fortress, an ancient palace dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200m high.
Wednesday 7th September
Travel today to Nuwara Eliya, where our base for the next 3 days is the magnificent Grand Hotel, the former mansion of Governor of Sri Lanka in the mid 19th century, Sir Edward Barnes. Sightseeing includes a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, renowned for its orchid collection, and the Mackwoods Tea Plantation.
Thursday 8th September
Golf today is at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, a testing course built in 1889 for British Serviceman and officials. This tight course is bordered by tall trees and dense shrubbery, and certain corners evoke a Scottish misty course.
Friday 9th September
Another day of golf at Nuwara Eliya - and the final round of our trip. Afterward, you can relax in the magnificent gardens and explore the surrounding area.
Saturday 10th September
Today, head back to the capital city of Colombo, where you can shop and explore at your leisure, before the Farewell Dinner at the Cinnamon Grand dinner.
Sunday 11th September
After breakfast, leave for Colombo International Airport in time for your departure flight.
