SAndbelt trails course

Mission Hills is built on a base of black volcanic rock, reminiscent of some of courses on the Big Island of Hawaii. Designed by Brian Curley, of Schmidt & Curley, the world class golf complex delivers ten courses that each offer something unique and distinctive.

In preparation for the tournament round tomorrow, we play the Sandbelt Trails Course, designed to model the bunkering of Melbourne's Sandbelt region, with high sand faces and curving lines.

Friday 22 March 2019

Today we compete in a Stableford Competition against competitors from Singapore and Malaysia. The tournament round is played on the Blackstone Course, the crown jewel amongst the 10 world class courses at Mission Hills, rated #48 in Golf Digest’s World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses 2018.

This spectacular course weaves through a striking landscape of mature trees, thick jungle vegetation, and expansive lakes and wetlands. The dominant feature is the base of lava rock, which has been integrated into the design by weaving irregular lines of turf and rock. The lava bed is also incorporated into forced carries creating dramatic contrast between the green turf and the lava rock.

Revive and refresh before tonight’s Presentation Dinner hosted by Mission Hills.

Visit the Mineral Springs Complex and its 168 hot and cold volcanic mineral springs showcasing centuries-old bathing rituals and healing philosophies from five continents. Spa connoisseurs may indulge in bathing experiences from the world's top springs, like the Thermae Bath Spring in Britain, Rotorua Spring in New Zealand and France's Evian Spring. Guests can also pamper themselves with the Volcanic Mud Bath, Warm Sand Bath, Hot Stone Bath, Herbal and Floral Springs, or embrace the healing power of crystals and oriental herbs in the thematic steam rooms.

Complimentary access has been arranged for the duration of your stay.

Inclusions:

  • Accommodation: Mission Hills Resort

  • Meals: Breakfast and dinner

  • Golf: Blackstone Course.
