The impressive golf facility has 10 diverse golf courses designed by Brian Curley. It covers such a large area that 2 starting areas are needed - North and South, each with their own Par 3 course and championship course. Blackstone, rated #48 in Golf Digest's World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses, 2018 is the brute of the North, and Lava Fields in the star of the South.

The courses included in this tour at Mission Hills are Blackstone, Sandbelt Trails Vintage and Lava Fields.

Blackstone Course

The crown jewel amongst the 10 world class courses at Mission Hills has played host to numerous international events. This spectacular course weaves through a striking landscape of mature trees, thick jungle vegetation, and expansive lakes and wetlands. The dominant feature is the base of lave rock, which has been integrated into the design by weaving irregular lines of turf and rock. The lava bed is also incorporated into forced carries creating dramatic contrast between the green turf and the lava rock. This 7,140-metre course covers an area of 350 acres.

Rated #48 Golf Digest’s World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses, 2018 and #3 in China.

Sandbelt Trails Course

This course is modelled on the great Sandbelt courses of Victoria, Australia. A 7297-yard par 72 golf course, with ample fairway for golfers long and not so straight of the tee. The use of the natural vegetation and lava rocks adds some panache to this relatively flat course.

Lava Fields Course

The highly rated Lava Fields Course is a shuttle ride from the hotel and is the championship course of the South Starting Area. It has a more traditional feel than the equivalent championship course of the North Starting Area, Blackstone. Carved out of the black lava landscape, with lush generous green fairways and wild bunkering, it is a pleasure to play.

Vintage Course

The Vintage is the perfect introduction to Mission Hills. Designed in a classic traditional style that pays homage to the courses of old with generous fairways and true greens. Take advantage of the wide fairways but ensure that your short-game is in tip-top shape, as some of the greens are enormous.

Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula

The impressive 5-star Sheraton Resort at the Shenzhou Peninsula. is nestled on a 4 km golden sandy beach, facing the South China Sea.There are plenty of cuisines to explore from casual to fine-dining options.

Room Type - Deluxe Garden View Room - 53 sqm.

The Dunes at Shenzhou Peninsula has two of the most spectacular courses anywhere.

Dunes West Course

The legendary Tom Weiskopf paid remarkable attention to ensure that the only traditional seaside golf course in Asia was carefully carved out of the native sand dunes on this natural peninsula on Hainan’s stunning untouched east coast. Within the golfing corridors of the holes, you will find a mix of big mature trees, natural waterways, primary and secondary dunes, spectacular ocean views, gentle elevation changes and majestic natural rock outcrops. Bunkers are a strong feature on the West Course, especially on the 16th and 17th holes adjacent to the shoreline where the bunkers are formed form beach sand. Truly spectacular.

The Dunes plays fast and long. Beautifully groomed fairways and greens await well-positioned shots. Steer clear of the rugged dunes.
Rated #10 in China.

Dunes East Course

The long Par 3 10th hole with its triple tiered green is one of the highlights. Another memorable hole is the Par 5 16th with its split fairway leading to the green on a small peninsula that falls off steeply onto the beach. The consistent wisps of wind from the South China Sea and the sound of the waves breaking along the coastline rocks will leave an everlasting impression! Beautifully maintained with vivid green fairways, the course will play fast and long and the ever-changing winds will add a level of complexity to club selection.
